Sorcha Edwards Named Secretary General of Housing of Europe

Housing of Europe has appointed Sorcha Edwards as its new Secretary General, effective immediately. In this role, Edwards will be responsible for managing the organization's institutional relations and ensuring the overall coordination of its Secretariat. As the public face of Housing Europe, she will also play a pivotal role in representing the organization and its initiatives.
Extensive Experience in the Housing Sector
Edwards brings a wealth of experience to her new position. Prior to joining Housing Europe, she served as the Director of the Cooperative Housing Federation of Ireland, where she was responsible for policy development, advocacy, and research in the cooperative housing sector. She also holds a Master's degree in Housing Studies from the University of Glasgow.
Edwards' appointment comes at a critical time for the European housing sector, which is facing challenges such as rising housing costs, homelessness, and energy poverty. She is committed to working with Housing Europe's members to address these challenges and promote affordable, sustainable housing for all.
